With the lockdown in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Chorley's 2020 Walking Day is a virtual service. Here we join some of the churches in the Chorley Churches Network for prayer and thanksgiving. This service gives us the chance to hear how some of the churches have responded to the challenge of ministry during the Covid-19 pandemic. We see digital and video footage of previous Walking Days. And we are pleased to be joined by Sir Lindsay Hoyle, MP and the Bishop of Burnley, Bishop Philip North.

Hymns are sung by the choral scholars of St. Martin in the Fields, London. These hymns are recorded by the Choral Scholars of St Martin's individually in their own homes with their contributions edited together remotely. This generous gift is made available to parishes in the Church of England to enhance digital services. The opening music, Onward Christian Soldiers, is performed by Bands of the Salvation Army The closing music, Battle Hymn of the Republic, is performed by the Upper Norwood Citadel Band of The Salvation Digital archived images are provided courtesy of Chorley Heritage Centre Support Group and video footage is provided by St. Peter's Church, Chorley.
